Neha Kaithwas Nandi Hills is located near Bengaluru city, Karnataka. Aka near the ‘Silicon Valley of India’ and India’s first ‘Global Silk City Network’. Nandi Hills is present at an altitude of 1,478m. Which ranks 9th highest hill in Karnataka State.
For the Bengalurians, it is one of the main tourist attractions for their weekend’s jollification.
It is the jewel in the crown of the Bengaluru people. The peak of the Nandi Hills can also be seen in some parts of the city. It is the place where people of all age groups would prefer to relish the natural beauty of it.
From bikers to friend groups to families, it is the treasure of the people.
Unfortunately for me…
to see its breathtaking peak view just became a fantasy.
STORYLINE (Nandi Hills)
It was the month of October 2021, when I visited Nandi Hills. At 4:30 AM early morning, we started our journey to the Hills. Which was one hour away from my place. On the way to the Hills, we took a halt to have some Tea and Maggi. It was cold out there. This was the time when the twist came, some local people informed us that, due to COVID restrictions it was closed!
We were disappointed by this update and started heading back to our home. I wasn’t able to grasp it so I decided to cross-check if it was really closed or not.
We headed forward to the Hills. At the starting point of the Hills Ghat, there were barricades and police authorities were standing at the checkpoint to stop people from entering.
The information was real. Then…
we all got upset by the fact that we compromised our sleep to visit Nandi Hills and got nothing to see.
Not worth it at all!
At this moment, we were finally heading back towards our home with our regretful faces.
Afterward, one surprising thing happened. Which was definitely not expected.
There’s one Cafe near the hills and in front of that cafe, there’s one pathway leading to an unknown place.
It really felt like a magical place- A Pathway To Heaven!
Where clouds were kissing the hills of Nandi Hills, surrounded by flora and grape farms with birds chirping all around to sense and smell mesmerizing hues of our Mother Nature.
This has made us realize that sometimes whatever happens good or bad, happens to reward us with something better.
God/Nature has better options for us.
On that day, we glimpsed Nandi Hills from a different perspective.

CONCLUSION
Nandi Hills is now open for tourists. From Weekends to Weekdays. From 6 AM- 6 PM.
To all sustainable travellers, Bengaluru’s first electric rail service to Nandi Hills has also been started.
