As per the Statistics, our world population is expected to reach 8 Billion by 2023. Our World species count, including all the five Kingdom species, is from 10 Million-14 Million.
The above data imply that our planet is for all living things, not just humans. All of the species that live on this planet call it home. It is our responsibility to make the world a better place for all living things, not just for humans.

• Food is responsible for 30% of all carbon emissions.
• Beef is the source of most greenhouse gases, including methane. Per 3.5oz of protein, an average of 110lb (50kg) of greenhouse gases is released globally.
• 1 gallon of cow’s milk requires 1950 gallons of water.
• To make one calorie of animal protein, it takes more than 11 times as much fossil fuel as it does to make one calorie of plant protein.
  
  Shifting away from animal-based diets is one answer to the current catastrophic climate change.

• Every year, the global forest cover declines by an average of 4.7 million hectares.
• Forests play a critical role in humanity’s health and well-being. They support tens of millions of employment, constitute an important component of the food chain, and over 28,000 different kinds of forest plants are used in medicine.
• According to a study, urban reforestation programs boosted the mental health of office workers who were able to see green spaces from their workplaces.
• Plants in forests produce phytoncides, which are antibacterial chemicals. Exposure to phytoncides has been shown in studies to reduce stress, strengthen the immune system, and lower blood pressure and heart rate.

• In total, humans use approximately 1.2 million plastic bottles per minute. Plastic is not recycled in 91 percent of cases. A Single-use product accounts for over half of our yearly worldwide plastic manufacturing.
• Every year, enough Bubble Wrap is manufactured to cover the distance between the Earth and the moon.
• For the first time, microplastic contamination has been discovered in human blood recently, scientists in Dutch published in the Environment International journal found microscopic particles in nearly 80% of those examined, which cause damage to human cells.
• There will be more plastic in the oceans than fish by 2050(by weight).

• According to a recent estimate, animal populations worldwide have fallen by 70% in the previous 50 years as a result of human consumption, urbanization, population growth, and increased trade.
• Every year, around 650,000 marine mammals are trapped or severely harmed by fishing gear around the world.
• We are currently on the verge of losing large cat species in the next 10 to 15 years. In the African wild, where 450,000 lions once roamed, the population is now estimated to be at 25,000. Leopards are now only 50,000 strong, down from 750,000 in the past. Poachers have taken the big cats for their body parts. The demand for lion teeth, bones, and claws, in particular, has skyrocketed in China and Southeast Asia.
• We are currently experiencing the world’s largest mass extinction event. Human action appears to be the cause of the rapid advent of mass extinction. Scientists predict that we are losing 10,000 times the usual rate of species every year.

• Industry’s impact on the world’s canopy has resulted in the yearly loss of 10 million hectares of forest.

Business developments are necessary! But developing without sustainable planning is simply disturbing our ecological balance leading to climate change.
It is our duty to preserve a healthy balance between our environment and anthropogenic activities. And to meet all of the Sustainable Development Goals(SDG) set out by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) by 2030. The only option for the benefit of our planet is sustainability.

Are There Any Global Initiatives & Achievements Till Now To Fix Our Mother Earth?

1. The Great Green Wall Of Africa– It is an African-led movement with the grand goal of creating an 8,000-kilometer natural wonder that spans the continent. When finished, the Great Green Wall will be three times the size of the Great Barrier Reef, making it the world’s largest living structure. At the southern end of the Sahara desert, Africa’s Sahel area.
   
2. Ozone Hole Healing– To help the ozone layer recover from the gas chlorofluorocarbon (CFC), 200 countries came together and committed to stop producing and using this gas. And it was successful!
   The ozone layer should entirely heal across most of the northern hemisphere and mid-latitudes by the 2030s, over the southern hemisphere by the 2050s, and above Antarctica later this century, according to the World Meteorological Organization (2019).

Yes, it is still possible to save the planet, but we are not too late as from the above examples.
If the whole world comes together, if the whole countries work together, we can fix the entire planet.
